Default Where to buy aluminum panels?

Looking to fab up a couple of brackets, I'm in north Scottsdale, where do you buy aluminum sheet stock around here? I have looked at the big box store and all they have is 22 ga. and too flimsy, and everything on the car is 18 ga.

Try industrial metal supply. They are in Tempe, I don't know of any places up North.

Worst case you could always order from McMaster Carr if all else ails:

If all you are looking for is small pieces, try Davis Salvage in the 3400 block Washington St. in Phoenix..

Industrial Metal is a super nifty store. Brass, Bronze, Aluminum, Copper, Steel, Stainless, Expanded Steel, chunks, plugs, sheets, bars, tubing, on and on. They also have a remants area in the back room where the prices are about 50% off and there's lots of good stuff back there. Just look for the sign over the way through the hanging plastic strips that help keep the AC in their showroom. Yes, its all indoors and the showroom is AC'd. Easy to get to, take the Broadway exit of i10, west to 48th St, west side of the street, maybe 1/2 mile south of Bway. Yes, I like the place. ha. If they don't have it, you probably don't really need it. Down side is that their shop/cut fees can mount up quickly if you need them.

Thanks guys, I had to drop my daughter off at the spca for camp and davis was right down the street. They had plenty of sheets all sorts of sizes and they cut it for free. I spent a whopping 2 bucks a pound.
I still want to check out industrial metal for future reference or maybe because you make it sound so damn interesting Carl!

We should have cobra cruise to industrial metal supply. It would be fun, plus, the ac in that place is great!
