No Bondurant Day
I contacted Bondurant to see if they were having a track day or days similar to last years Birthday Party for Bob Bondurant.
They said they haven't heard anything, but if I want to rent a corvette in a couple weeks I am more than welcome to do that. When I asked if I could bring the cobra, they said no. I guess they are afraid, LOL!!!!! Dave from Chandler. |
Not unusual for those Chevette types to be afraid of a Cobra.. what? Oh, Chevette or Corvette...sometimes it's hard to tell the difference..

I called too as last year was a blast for $350 for 3 days. Where can you go drive your car around a 3 mile course for that.
I did the 4 day Gran Prix Class (wifey gift) years ago. They let me take my Cobra out with the vettes and all I can say is the difference between driving the vette and the cobra was night and day. Like going from a pick up truck to a caddy. The Cobra was a pissed off *****! Drive with one hand in the vette and shifting. No way in the Cobra. Play for few hours and had enough; worn out! The longer combined track gave you time to rest down the drag strip. Think I will take a friend to the Bondurant track for the stock car thing to scare the hell out of him for $350. Fitz, if you go to Bondurant for anything, let me know. Maybe we can meet with the Cobras and persuade them to let us drive them. Long shot, but what the heck.

Fitz, Mr Pink let the website "AZCOBRA.com" go because of lack of use and lack of interest. The website since then has not been available. Just as well. Originally intended as an information center, it just didn't work. Thanks go to Jim Olson for all his expenses, maintenance and attempts.
