Marker
Clear Tape
Silicone
Philips head screwdriver
3/16” Allen Key

III. Installation Instructions

1. Jack the Driver side of the car up and place on jack stands.

2. Draw a line on the drivers floor 2 inches towards the side of the car from the rear seat harness mount. This is the middle of the 4” round tube which touches the aluminum floor panel. Make this line 22” long.

3. From the side of the frame, find the rear 2” x 2” outrigger. Draw a line along the middle of the 2” x 2” outrigger until it intersects the 4” round tube line. This intersection is the rear drill mark for the track with the handle on it.

4. Remove the studs from the tracks if so equipped. They are not used in our application.

5. From the 4” round tube line measure over 7.25” towards the side of the frame along the 2” outrigger line. This is the location of the rear hole on the other track.

6. The front holes for both tracks are 11” forward of the rear holes.

7. Make sure that the drill marks line up with frame steel and that you will not just drill through aluminum.

8. There are two ways to mount the seat tracks. Using the self tapping screws provided or bolts (not provided). If using bolts, be sure to use the right drill bit in order to tap the holes for the 4” round tube properly.

9. If using the supplied screws, drill 3/16” holes at the places marked.

10. On the seat tracks, insert the 5/16”x1” screws through the holes in the seat tracks so that they point up. Use the 5/16” nuts, without the nylon lock, on the other side of the track and tighten them.

11. Mount the seat tracks (Narrow side down) using the (4) 1.5 inch screws, (4) washers and a 3/8” socket.

12. Place a washer on each of the nuts on the 5/16” bolts that are pointed up.

13. Using the seat as a guide, move the seat tracks so that the seat is a ¼” away from the horizontal 2”x2” behind the seat and the tracks are in the same position with respect to each other and so that they will be under the seat and not behind it.

14. Put a dab of silicone on the ends of the posts in order to mark the bottom of the seat.

15. Holding the seat above the tracks position the seat so that it is ¼” away from the horizontal 2”x2” behind the seat and facing the pedals. Place the seat down on the tracks.

16. Remove the seat, lifting straight up and place it face down on the ground.

17. Remove the four wood screws from the seat bottom using a Philips head screwdriver and flip the seat bottom forward.

18. Using the 5/16” drill bit, drill through silicone marks and the fiberglass seat.

19. Place the seat on the seat tracks and fasten using the (4) 5/16” lock nuts.

20. Flip the seat back down.

21. Remove the jack stands using a floor jack.

Mikie, Are you going to get a sleigh to take you to the airport? Maybe snowshoes? Seriously, how much snow have you gotten so far?

mikiec 11-20-2014 08:55 AM

Dan we have had 2 snow events. 1st just a dusting, 2nd about 1/2 inch. The snow gone by noon time for both times.

Cobra has been out at least 2 times a week. Drive it while I can. I do plan on a Jan 1st run.

"News Flash New Hampshire"
It was reported today Jan 1st that some idiot was seen sliding down a outback country road in 3 feet of snow (possibly a White Out) into a plowed snow bank. They could not fine the car and expected to wait until spring possibly anticipating the local raccoon population to carry or eat the occupant of this small car; reported to have a large old fart wearing a red Santa Clause hat or possible a Mr Bill hat yelling something "because we can". People in this small town were not available for comment but off the record reports of he owes lots of Money and ice cream to people in the Phoenix /Mexico area. (Kinda of same these days). He was also reported to have a large bottle of Maple Syrup in one hand an a gun in the other yelling at everyone. Some people think he saw a alien but refused to comment other then he was ex-military computer Intel from some outlaw gang called Cobras. The snow gets them every time!
