Avon Tire life expectancy
I had been running a set of Avons on my csx for 5 years. Obviously not a lot of mileage I have on them(under 3000 miles) and no obvious cracks in sidewalls but wondering what others experience has been with the life expectancy of these tires as this is my first set. They have seen a little bit of track time and of course some "spirited driving". Anything I should look out for other thaN Obvious dry cracks?
Planning on putting some miles in this winter and maybe a bit of racing. I plan on sticking with original style 15 inch wheels so I don't know of any other sticker tires available without going to 17 inch wheels. Suggestions?

Best tires for 15s and still be streetable. There's better tires in 17s and 18s

If you don't mind the price, they are great. I got about 8000 off of my set and could have gone further but front end alignment ended that. Now running MT tires. No comparison in traction or price but they are great for street use. 15" tires are VERY limited in choices.

I am running my second set of the AVONs. The first set I replaced at 3/32s after maybe 15,000 miles. Wear was perfect and there was no sidewall deterioration. Actually all four were at 3/32s. I would not hesitate to try the MT's but the AVONs are still available and I have been quite happy with them. The second set has been just as good as the first and perhaps even smoother.
