Special Stop on Sunday
We have been invited to visit a private collection of race cars near Sonoita on Sunday right on our route. Here is the invitation:
Hi Rickey, My name is Larry Pfitzenmaier. I own a Cunningham C4R (photo attached), similar to a Cobra. Since there are no Cunningham clubs, I’m a bit of a “Lone Ranger”. It’s my good fortune that the very kind folks in the Tucson Cobra Club have taken me under their wing. I live in Sonoita and own a small collection of American race cars (photos attached). The blue race car won Best of Class at the Arizona Concours at the Biltmore last month. My home/garage is on Rt. 82, two miles east of the Sonoita Crossroads and directly on your Sunday route. If your crowd is no more than about 20 people, I’d be happy to offer you a brief look at the cars if you want to stop by. I also realize you may be on a short leash due to tour reservations at Kartchner. If it doesn’t work this time, you’re welcome to stop by on your next visit to Sonoita’s vinyards. Best regards, Larry Pfitzenmaier Here is the adjusted Google Map Route: http://tinyurl.com/mu6axxz AZ Bob |
