USMC fund raiser

While at Vintage Iron yesterday Karl and I learned there may be a cruise to the Buttes on tuesday to meet up with a father/son team driving coast-to-coast raising money for the USMC. Karl will have more information today, hopefully, and his Cobra back.

Mark, @ Vintage Iron told me there is to be a little get together at the Buttes tomorrow about 4pm. There is also some larger thingy going on then and there, so there's pretty limited parking. I'm sure that if a few wanted to brave the 190° temperature that late in the afternoon, you could find someplace to park.

Not me.

Warrior Cobra Drive

They are in Palm Desert, CA in the am for breakfast Tuesday, then drive to the Marriott at Tempe Buttes for overnight. Tough time of year to drive a cobra. My hat's off to them but I'm too old to participate, like Karl. My only brother is a retired USMC officer, but at 110+ degrees I simply can't attend.

These guys aren't in it for themselves. They are raising money and awareness for two great organizations that help veterans and veteran's families. I would encourage everyone to support them by showing up to welcome them to your part of the country or to at least make a donation. You don't have to drive your cobras there, take the air conditioned daily driver. Sign their "Thank You" banner. 110? Sheesh! There is no top on the Warrior Cobra. They are a good group of guys who's hearts are in the right place.

I agree with John. El Paso Texas Cobra Club has arranged a big event tomorrow night for Richard and his son .
