Excellent Video and Story
Over in the "All Cobra Talk" forum there's a sweet 15 minute video posted by "twoshelbys" about the 1965 FIA Bondurant victories that is certainly worth watching. I don't know how to bring it over here but I came across it in the "new posts" forum.
How super cool would it have been if there had been GoPro cameras back then? |
The item I posted was a copy of the text of an email I got from Bondurant's school and is a little of the history of the 65 win. The video goes into some detail of the politics of American and British racing personalities. It seems the Brits treated racing as a gentleman's game (like fox hunting) but the Americans (Bondurant) went to win!

It is an interesting video to watch, the politics were nuts back then. However, seems like in F1 the politics are still pretty bad.
I love how Bob B just wanted to win. Thanks for sharing. |
