Scouting Report - Rock Bottom

For those, like me, not impressed with Mexteca here is another option to consider:

ROCK BOTTOM BREWERY at 7640 W. Bell Rd.

Rock Bottom

contact: Chris Gabel 623-878-8822

MENU: good variety of starters, salads, entrees, burgers, sandwiches, pizza and deserts. For full menu Full Menu

ACCOMODATIONS: Shaded outdoor patio adjacent to ample parking. Indoor booths face the patio/parking. All very clean.

REVIEW: Dee and I tried the bison burger, the fish tacos and steak tacos. All very good and the fries were "Bobcrispy" and good.

Looks and sounds much better than Mexteca. I was not overly impressed with the food or atmosphere there.

Thanks for looking Lyle

Agree with Bruce Nelson. Not impressed with Mixteca. Bob-Crispy fries? HMMMMMM.
Thanks for seeking alternatives. This place looks nice. I feel we must have outdoor seating.
Claim Jumper has the "Widow Maker Burger" but no outdoor seating.
Claim Jumper is more central. Both menus cost more than the Diner but both have expanded choices.
Lets have more input.

Let's give Rock Bottom a try. The menu looks good, it has outdoor seating...... Mixteca doesn't do it for me, I'll be hard to get me to go there on a regular basis.
Thanks Lyle for the scouting report.

Five of us tried Rock Bottom at 5:00 last Tuesday (regular Tuesday meeting time.) A whole row of good parking spaces backing up to Bell, and visible from the patio, was still open. We tried a couple of items and found that the burgers were really good. Their pulled pork was great. Their version of "secret sauce" or "sp%$@&ge" is very spicy. Careful with that.

The facility, parking and food make this worth a try.

Here's a Google Maps view of the facility. https://www.google.com/maps/place/76...a3a770!6m1!1e1
