Starting to repair the crack in my deck lid on Monday. Got a price of $300 didn't think that was too bad at all. Will post pictures of the progress as it happens.

How did that happen? Too much filler under there? Good luck on the repair.

I guess anything is possible but that doesn't look like a fiberglass stress crack to me - and I have some experience with them from old Corvettes. The middle of the trunk lid would not be a place where one would typically be expected to occur. But - once they hit it with a DA for a couple of minutes they will figure it out.
