OK,
Meet up at 9:30am at the Shell station in Fountain Hills just off the Bee Line.
Then a short stop @ Bush & Beeline to meet the non working east siders.
We may be a bit early for lunch again but that's okay.

Any other Garage Queens able to make it???
Bob B??? (you still own a cobra, right???)
Vettestr??? (now that your car is FINALLY RUNNING)
CarNut??? (you can bring your cute little motor car or your new 29 mpg Mustang)

Okay, I'm in since I have permission to bring a cat swinging Mustang. See you guys at the Shell.

Sweet, you bringing the new one or the old one?

hinoonaz 03-31-2016 07:24 PM

Looks like the weather is going to be ok. See most at the Shell

I'll be bringing the new one. I need to do some maintenance on the old one.

After this confusing thread, I should be at Shell by 9:30.

Looks like we're going to have a good turn out.
I called the restaurant/bar and made sure they will be open at 11:00am and can handle 10-12 guests. (she said no problem)
The lunch special is a 2 piece fish basket with french fry's for $5.00

Mesa Mike 04-01-2016 06:07 AM

Thanks for organizing the run Rat Boy. See you at Bush and Bee Line on ramp with Karl about 9:45.

DWRAT 04-01-2016 02:36 PM

We had a great trip, started with 9 Cobras and 1 cat swinger but lost a cobra on the way.
On the way home I hit snow flurries at the 260 & 87, lasted about 5 miles.
Thanks for going everyone.

Thanks for setting it up, Ratti-tat-tat. Got a bit nipply and caught a few sprinkles, but was still SO much better than waxing-off in the garage.
Nice turnout and glad to hear that CarNut managed to stay warm enough in his swinging-cat-Mustang (which, by the way, is a reeeeely nice car).
I racked up 200.5 miles and 109MPH max on the GPS. Those down hills with a tail wind are sneaky.

Cobrakeith 04-01-2016 05:09 PM

Fun Run and a good turn out. A little cooler than I thought it would be but still I'll take this weather over the 100+ we will have before to long.

Car Nut 04-01-2016 05:17 PM

I'm guessing everyone went back through Payson. I went through Camp Verde, I-17 was open to Phoenix. Light snow for a few miles on the Crook trail. 26 MPG for the trip. Enjoyed everyone's company.

moore_rb 04-01-2016 05:37 PM

Wish I could have gone... work sucks ;)

I went the same way as you but got a late start waiting on Jim who ended up going the other way. I then got hosed up for miles on the 260, same area I got my last ticket so I was gun shy.
Once I hit the I-17 I tried to catch you but you were long gone.

RedSnake351 04-01-2016 08:36 PM

Good job, Mr. Rat! As we were getting closer to Payson, I had to slap myself every so often, thought I was back in Illinois, weather-wise.:(

On the way back, Scotty took the lead for the first 20 miles, but the closer we got to civilization, he made me the rabbit, . %/

Frozen Ralphie.:)

Cobrakeith 04-02-2016 09:18 AM

As Ralphie says, a little cool on the way back through Payson but once we got to a lower elevation it was very nice. At least we didn't see snow like you did Car Nut. Oh, and Ralphie, you make a nice Rabbit LOL.

Snow? What is Snow? Glad you guys had a great time. You did tell Car Nut he had to leave the windows down and the heater off.

A great run. A few drops of rain and bugs that didn't survive. Gregg and Vicki back in the saddle. What happened to Mesa Mike and the engine? Thanks for putting it together.

That was a cool run. When we first got to the Chalet , I went inside and grabbed a corner table, trying to return a message on my I phone. I spoke loudly across the bar to the waitress asking " Can't we get cell service here ? ". She yelled back, " I just opened the bar, and I'm the only one here !". I had been there 5 minutes, and already managed to piss her off. It usually takes 10. I went up to the bar and apologized and explained I was referring to my phone. **):JEKYLHYDE**)
