Vin a2-309328

Anyone know which mfg uses VIN starting with A2?

Got a notice of an auction coming in may and they're gonna sell a low mileage car. See link:

SHELBY COBRA 142 MILES, VIN. A2-309328, FUEL INJECTED 5.0L GAS, MANUAL TRANS, AUTO METER GAUGES,

Thx, Peter

I bet it's AZ= Arizona issued VIn

Hey Peter, Still got the itch?

Looks like a low budget, donor build. Probably FFR,

Could very well be a nice car, but after your BDR.....

Winchester67 05-02-2016 11:44 AM

Agreed with the Factory Five guess...which could be a solid car, or a headache that science has not had the sophistication to build a machine that can measure the intensity of after purchase. I would say a careful pre bid inspection is in order. Might be a great deal, all depends on the builder.

That engine looks awfully familiar to me... :3DSMILE:

DWRAT 05-02-2016 03:24 PM

Looks like a FFR MK-1

Thanks for the input guys, appreciated.

Tho I do love the Viper, end of day it isn't the same experience as Cobra and so yes, I really never lost the itch. Actually regret selling the BDR car...Have decided I probably need both kinds of snakes to be truly happy! (at least these are a start)

I'll go look at the auction car, but with a very skeptical eye. If I can steal it, maybe place a bid but knowing that its likely a basket case that will need sorting. Karl, you specialize in basket cases, right?

The cobra is another whole experience

Tried both but no comparison, at least for my generation. My kids liked the Viper. I thought it was too civilized and lacked the sound.

It is a factory five. Not sure of the vintage.

It's a straight donor build Factory Five. Nothing fancy using donor parts and FFR supplied seats, etc. By the looks of the driver side footbox it is most likely a MK1 or early MK2. That puts it about 2001-2003 frame.
