Oct 28 Car Show / Trunk or Treat in Glendale

Gain night event at Murphy Park - City Hall. First 30 cars to register.
They only have room for 30 cars and I'm hoping we can make at least 5 of them be Cobras. They are asking for a $10 donation and to bring candy for the kids to trick or treat. Please message me to confirm you a spot. And soon please. AZ Cobra Mike |
Thanks Mike, for posting this invitation to an event. $10 isn't much plus who doesn't like giving out candy? Bags of candy are cheap on sale plus you get to eat the leftovers!

I have 4 Cobras and a beautiful convertible Mustang from our group confirmed. The organizer says we have room for 7 more cars. Any takers?

Hmmm ... 5 to 9pm on a Friday... Navigating central Phoenix rush hour in a car that most drivers look right over the top of... %/
Maybe I could drive southwest to Gila Bend, then come north on the 85 to the I-10, and come in from the west... That might only require 2 tanks of gas... :p Friday's are tough for me - If I'm working, then Fridays are either a total cake-walk where I idle through the whole day, or they are absolute chaos, end of the world, Chicken Little "the sky is falling" style insanity... And I never know which one it's gonna be on any given Friday, so I always err to the side of pandemonium... |
Mike...sorry to cancel my attendance but do to wife's broken arm and surgery I must be at another location that day. Maybe next time.

Bill I'm sorry to hear about your wife's inury. We will catch you. Ext time. I also have had some bad luck and broke my Cobra. Looks like I blew out the slave cylinder on the clutch. Jeff Classic is taking my place for the car show.
I will still be there but without the hot rod. See you guys there. Please enter at 58th Avenue and Glendale Ave between 3:30 and 4:00 as per the organizers request. And don't forget to bring candy. Mike |
With all of the last minute catastrophes, Four cars made it to the event. A 66 JAFM and a 2007 JAFM, Broberg's old 98 and Jeff's Cobray. It was a fun event, lots of kids in costume, lots of candy and several food vendors. Some pics on the Facebook site as I can't post here.
