You must go to a different New Hampshire than I do. My New Hampshire rains a lot, and this time of year a top would pretty much be mandatory if you have any fondness for your ears or fingers.

This is Mikiec..

Gilford NH. Rain no problem, carry a poncho with me at all the time. Ears are protected with a leather snoopy WWI cap. Gloves are ski gloves with extra lining. For real cold I get out the heated gloves.

Are you going to be there this Sat at 83rd?

It was bucketing down one day and a motorbike rider came into a meeting all dressed up like a Arctic explorer. I said to him. I bet you wished you had a car now. He said," I do have one, but I love riding bikes"
So I think the Cobra must still be better then a bike.

Yes, that's the plan. We're going to try out the soft top on the Cobra.

Though not as cold as New Hampshire, it gets a little frosty down here in Delaware in Dec, Jan, Feb and March as the wind breezes off of the Atlantic. I don my sweatshirt, hoodie, knit hat and gloves when it's dry and the sun is shining and take her out for a spin. No heater, but after about 10 minutes the feet warm up nicely. Crazy, but Fun..............

Sissy-Boy....

Let me know if you (or any of you other east-valley guys) want to meet up somewhere along the way and drive together (or, you could swing by my place, and we could take the Santan freeway east)

I was planning on leaving my house about 3pm-ish

If you guys want you can cruise past my place (SR51 and Shea) and I will join you for the ride over. I usually just go up the 51 to the 101 and then west to Beardsley. PM me if you want to do that.

Wow Scotty....

Now, I'm a die-hard fisherman- I tie my own flies, and make my own saltwater jigs, but I have never understood the appeal of ice-fishing...

Is there a bottle of scotch hidden somewhere in that picture?

Danr55 12-02-2016 01:11 PM

With Scotty, it's a better than even bet that if it's not hidden it's not far away.

Sorry Scotty...if it's not in the Cobra it does not count toward the frozen butt award.

2,500 miles

You guys are wimps.

I recently returned from a 2,500 roundtrip from Miami to central Arkansas.

I have a heater, but it doesn't do much w/out a top.

Coldest part was 50 miles of rain on I-40 outside of Little Rock.

Car ran great, except that the starter failed at the race track (1,000 ft. strip, Centerville, AR), plus the clutch couldn't hold at half track.

Scotchman 12-03-2016 08:38 AM

Only wimps have heaters **):JEKYLHYDE**)

Sounds like Eddie Murphy... I'm Gumby Damnit!... Having an identity crisis Karlos?

Scotchman 12-03-2016 12:26 PM

I wouldn't refer to these as sports cars Karl. They're full blown race cars, with sports car drivers !
