Picture of silver cars engine compartment shows that it's a glass car. Nice T.W.M. injection. Later model unit with springs between throttle bodies. Looks to have onboard fire system. Not fan of driver side seat belt mount, belts rub on body when not in use. Correct die used on side pipes to form collector. $220,000.00 if that's what it sold for sets high mark I think for glass car.

Not at a BJ auction, we had a car for sale and the bidding got very close to reserve, when we decided to let it go, we were told that there were no real bidders. Nice try, No Joy.

If people only really knew how slimy the specialty auto auction system is..............
Why do you think they give bidders free drinks?

It was fiberglass and only about 100 cars away from mine in number. The 511 in my opinion is what sold it(of course I am prestigious since I have one in my car. Honestly, it was 2 guys that have drunk too much free booze as csx cars tend to sell badly at that auction. When a BDR goes for almost $100K in lime green and a factory five sells for $50k with a 302 that tells you something about most of the bidders there.
Overall they had to sell 300 more cars to barley increase total sales and if you throw out the Ford GT for Charity at $2.5M their average will be even lower. A lot of unhappy sellers but the owner of this car obviously was a very happy seller

U R correct, I read the description to fast and just saw aluminum Shelby 427 and mistook it for a metal car.

Right, the car sold high and is a show car not driver.
I would make room in the garage for it, at 1.5MM its a no sell for long time to come is my guess.
