Bill Godwin's New Home
Visited Bill Godwin’s new home during his open house Sunday. It’s in far east Scottsdale, on the border of Fountain Hills. West of the Mayo Clinic and north of Shea, in the area called Hidden Hills next to Eagle Ridge. Nice, new, big home. Too nice for Bill. LOL. About 3K sf of space and bathrooms everywhere. Office full of cobra & Shelby memorabilia. Even has a Drum collection room with a photo of the much younger Rocker Band member Bill on the wall. Big, 4 car, tandem garage with high ceilings for lifts and a garage door in between the back 2 and front 2 cars and motorcycles. The back 2 space has A/C.
Bill has suggested we have a Thanksgiving Party at his home and will ask his new neighbors about cobra parking and noise. More to come. https://i.postimg.cc/BnBWxspG/IMG-2225.jpg AZ Bob |
Sounds great Bob. One question....Will Bill invite the lady from the picture on his wall to the party?
|
As Bob has stated, I'm planning a Thanksgiving get together for members of
the Arizona Cobra Club, in my recently purchased Scottsdale home. I'll be talking to my HOA on parking specifics, pseudo drag racing/ burnouts (per customary actions devoted to arrival at our Christmas parties), and coyote avoidance classes in the Hills (practicing with real coyotes, per written request). As for the long-haired, hippy musician, shown here in a provocative pose, everyone will have to sign a Confidentiality Agreement for information pertaining to my musical past. My musical history summary will be disclosed fully, in it's entirety, without a redacted version, for complete transparency. |
Now that is funny! Well done Bill. Just because someone from the great Northwest called me today and asked about your musical history. I told him I did not know, but would ask. So, if it is not a security question, can you share with those of us who never thought to ask?

This information must be kept confidential. However, I have vowed to make as much of the report’s information public as I can, consistent with privacy laws and security to protect the innocent. Not all of this material can be released to the general public unless special circumstances are met.

Ok, what band were you in? Not country I hope... |
Old Phart,
Ah, the 'tails' grow 'longer' down the line...! :) :) Brent |
Tommyrot, scary, very scary.
I was also playing drums in the 60s and 70 in the Northern Ohio local roadhouses. I was even so hard up for money that when I was first married, for the first time, I spent a MISERABLE summer playing hillbilly (C&W) music, 5 nights a week. Hated the music but do have to admit there was 'way more than enough free beer and pooooosey for boys in the band:D Thank bygolly, after that I got back in with some pretty fair rockin cover bands. |
BREAKING NEWS: There has been a major Security Breach, and information on my past has been leaked to the general public. An investigation has been started to find the leaker, and is reported to be a rogue member of the Arizona Cobra Club. The word is out that three of the many National bands which I played for in the past are, "The Coasters", "The Drifters", and "Sam the Sham". The ongoing investigation is reportedly to continue until November this year.

All the news that is the news: "Arizona man is identified as one of many to be SEARCHIN for CHARLIE BROWN and a "WOOLY BULLY" UNDER THE BOARDWALK and UP ON THE ROOF during THIS MAGIC MOMENT. Details at 10:00 PM.

Karl, Bill, I always thought it took (some) coordination to wheel these snakes down the road, this just go's to prove that fact (Drummer's do it with rhythm). Now about Dan, I guess that explains it all :) Cheers to you (Lucky) Az. boy's, (weather wise anyway).

Karl,
Regarding your recent moniker for our Northwest’s own “Tommyrot,” and given the new revelation of the musical connection you all share, I think it completely appropriate, at least on opportunistic occasion, to elevate his infamy to “TommyRotten”! Afterall, in the Northwest, we know that ‘rust never sleeps’! Brent |
TommyRotten...I like it!
|
Given he comes from that end of the country, how about Rusty Tommy Rotten?
|
Geez, guy's I'm honored. I haven't had a nickname since my vintage racing day's. There I was : Tom Slick, and the Alfa was the : Thunderbolt Grease Slapper, a neat cartoon from 1967. I still have my helmet from the day's :) https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q...2928&FORM=VIRE
