Leave the Chevron at Carefree Hwy. and I17 at 9am. Go up through Wickenburg, take rt 93N for 45 miles to rt 97E. Go to Beautiful Baghdad for lunch at the Main Street Diner. Head South on rt 96 to Kirkland Jct. Then, take your pick: Yarnell/Wickenburg or the back way into Prescott then eventually South on I17. Weather forecast is for high 70°s and partly cloudy. Surely a bit cooler at elevation.

11ish should get us there. I'll be stopping in Wickenburg for fuel.

Karl is right, the drive is definitely worth it. Great group today, Scott, Karl, Jim and me started from the I17 and we met Steve and Betty driving two funny little British cars, Steve's Lotus and Betty's Mini at The Diner on Main in Bagdad for lunch. Nice lunch, big portions and after lunch we had a nice leisurely drive back through Yarnell and Wickenburg and on home. A little over 200 miles for me and all in all a very nice day.

335 miles for me. I gotta stiffen my shocks' rebound. Definitely bottomed out a few times on the whoop-de-do's.
