Another Movie Comin'

Peter Volny sent along this link for any upcoming movie primarily about Bob Bondurant with heavy emphasis on the Daytona Coupe. The trailer looks great!

The video is great, if the movie actually comes out I hope it is as good.

Note the link is from 2015. I saw the clip when it showed up on the Bondurant School's web site. I don't ever remember seeing anything more about it. As I recall his wife Pat was spearheading the effort.

Tony, thanks. I had not noticed the date however, I did notice Pat Bondurant was mentioned in the credits.

PS. You do know that the Bondurant school shut down - bankruptcy. It was bought out by a group of former instructors, but Bob is no longer involved and I don't think the "school" has any vendor support, ie, Bondurant was at one time the Chevrolet/Corvette school where people that bought ZR1 and C06 got a couple of days of instruction. Then a few years ago they switched allegiance to Dodge, and were using Vipers for some of the stuff just before they discontinued the Viper (sounded like a going out of business plan to me), and then shortly after that, they did. Bob suddenly stopped coming to the Shelby American party but a few years ago there was one final silent auction for a class that went for cheap and nothing recently.

I don't know if Bob had suffered a stroke or what, but the last time I saw him, he seemed pretty frail and unsteady. He's had a heck of a life and I wish him only the best.

I was aware of the driving school issues. It is only about 30 miles from where I live and there have been assorted stories in the newspaper, in the past. I'd gone to several events there, including Bob's 80th (I think) birthday and am glad to see that the school is continuing. I don't know what vehicles they are using now.

BTW I believe that for Bob's B'day celebration, there was an open track day and a local guy slid his Bugatti Veyron into one of the tire bumpers. He didn't stick around to talk about it.
