I want to thank everyone for your help in getting Coby back on the road today.
I like easy fixes !

Danr55 02-15-2020 03:06 PM

Ok. Who is Cody and what happened?

hinoonaz 02-15-2020 04:01 PM

:ose wire to fuel pump on Scott's car

COBY, COBY, not Cody.
Attention to detail?
Why bother.
Beautiful day for a drive. 344 miles for me.
8 Coby zzs and one JAFM.
Good food, good weather, good people.

Fun times great run

For me 256 miles door to door. Got home about 3:30pm. Car ran great. Roads from Peeples Valley to Bagdad to I-93 all fun with super scenery. That Diner in Bagdad is GOLD! Super Double burger is standard. Here is a photo at the start this morning at Frys Gas Pumps and Scotty's favorite car (Coby) dead on the side of the road. So many great mechanic minds figured it out. Will bring a floor jack next trip and put tools back in the trunk.

It's a Carter fuel pump. Do youse think the RTV will hold it ?

DrDuc 02-16-2020 04:06 PM

I should think that will do it. How many years has it been on with just compression fitting?

Scotchman 02-17-2020 05:40 AM

2 years and 6,000 miles. it had to be those jarring bumps where the asphalt meets the concrete in the river beds. It's funny how something can go wrong, and you feel lucky when it's over.

Alfa02 02-17-2020 06:37 AM

Scotty, you start adding weigh to your car, can you afford that ? :) 0-60, 0-100 Tim & Jamie told us how quick your car's are. We may have to bring just Big Block's down to run with you boys. ;) Cheers TommyRot.

Scotchman 02-17-2020 07:01 AM

Tommy,
Are you guys coming down for the Texas CC meet ? I'm on the fence.

Karl Bebout 02-17-2020 08:09 AM

WAFFEL WAFFEL WAFFEL.

After those connections have had a couple days to cure, give them a yank. That black snot should do the job.

Alfa02 02-17-2020 08:58 PM

Scotty, we too are uncertain. Tim has his car in PHX. already, talked about flying down driving 2000 miles (1021 miles each way, From PHX.) to Texas and back plus what 300-400 miles at the meet. Then another plan, Mike, Terry and I driving Mikes Motorhome down pulling a Cobra, so everyone has a ride, Tim couldn't take time off to ride down. So then we have 3600miles (roundtrip) in the Motorhome, just to PHX, then drive Mike's & Tim's Cobras the 2000+miles to Texas and back. LOTS & LOTS of fuel alone. So you see our issues ;) I will keep you posted. Cheers TommyRot.
