Coronado Trail Scenic Byway in Car & Driver
1 Attachment(s)
Just received Car & Driver and saw this pic. At the very bottom of the pavement in the pic we had a member breakdown a few years back. Had to wait for a tow truck. Karl was his passenger, and he rode with me the rest of the way. I didn't know what I was getting into.

Steve, looks can be deceiving. By the time you get to the top, your arms are sore and your legs ache. That why we do not every year.

If you like curves in your Cobra it is the best bang for your gas buck in Arizona! It does take a while to complete the drive and as Dan says you will be tired at the end but for the smiles for miles you just can't beat it.

If there’s no football season this year we might be back in time for the run. When is it too late to make room reservations?

I remember that turn! How long were you in council afterwards. Much much longer than the tail. Loved the tail of the Dragon. Definitely well worth the trouble of getting there

Southeastern part of the state. US 191 starts in Clifton at ~3500 ft elevation and runs north to Hannagan Meadow at 9100 ft elevation. BTW it used to be US 666 before it was re-labeled.....great road.

Greg,
Check out the Coronado Trail Run on this sight and call the motel. You can always cancel ahead of time.

I remember reading that the Coronado Trail is 119 miles, 460 turns and I can believe it.
