Butcher Hook breakfast run 10-18-20

Karlos and I are going to Butcher's Hook tomorrow 10-18-20, Sunday, for breakfast. Meet at the Fountain Hills station for a 7am liftoff. Be There, or be square ;)

No surprise that no one chimed in to go on this little run. It was pretty short notice and would have been a real let down after going to Ajo:eek:
Anyway, Scotty and I screamed up the hill, early this morning and practically had Butcher Hook to ourselves. I had most excellent biscuits and gravy, that actually had chunks of sausage rather than BB sized bits along with the additional bacon and cheese. Now, if they only had green onions or chives to add to it....
200 miles total for me, coming home through Roosevelt, Globe, Superior etc. My 2600 mile Texas trip just wasn't quite enough... Good times. :)

Did ya ever consider bringing green onions with you? Just sayin'. I actually tried at home recently, sharp cheddar and green onion, because of your raving. It was very good. I still need a great biscuit recipe. Even Southerners I know, use Bisquick. Bob Evans, back East, had the best MOIST biscuits, I've ever had.

Mark, I had not planned on having the B&G since I thought we'd be getting food to go and I was going to get pancakes. We got there so early that the place was not at all crowded so we ate inside, hence, I opted for the B&G. I'll try to plan ahead the next time because the green onions, or scallions, or even chives add a very nice touch. Gotta think though, that their sausage gravy is outstanding with it's big chunks of meat. The only place better, to my knowledge, is the Capri in Boise that first turned me on to the wonderfulness of the loaded B&G. (I was stuck in Boise while trying to get my Cobra's rear end fixed)

If you ever end up at a Bob Evans restaurant (eastern states) their B&G is real good.
