Low Volume Motor Vehicle Manufacturers Act

Not sure what this will mean to current cobra values but, I am happy for the manufacturers after a long hard battle. My guess is prices will rise.

Not much interest in the Cobra manufacturer's community. It has a lot of strings attached all of which would be a burden to their businesses.

True, the motor provided must meet Cafe Standards which right now is exclusively an LS chevy motor as the V8. That will change plus rollers are still OK.

The LS will work out fine for those people that really want to go FAST!
Our Aussie brethren have been using LS engines for years. :)

Everyone thinks this is going to make Cobra volumes from small numbers to thousands a year. Ain't gonna happen. Too many cost barriers for the producers and the interest simply isn't there.

Interest will not be there if gas goes to $5.00+/gallon.

Ford's Godzilla is available today, as are companion components to plug into it (e.g. ECM).

The video at this link also briefly mentions the upcoming 'Megazilla', supposedly a higher output version. I've seen elsewhere that Megazilla may well be an aluminum block version that will obviously weigh less than the 580 lb Godzilla.

Where is it stated that this engine meets this standard? I can't find a reference anywhere.
