Sunday 5/30 Bagdad and Prescott

UPDATE: Road to Bagdad closed due to fires. We will be going up Yarnell Hill straight to Prescott. It'll be about an hour shorter trip now.
Karl and I are departing Chevron i-17 and Carefree Hwy,
3150 W Carefree Hwy, Phoenix, AZ 85086, 6 AM. We'll stop in Wickenburg for fuel at the Maverik on US 60, 93 out to 97 toward Bagdad, up to Prescott and return i-17. Karl likes Skull Valley and I like 89A, but we'll figure that out Sunday. Please let us know if you will be there.

Hi All - planning to join you on this run. Will be first with AZ Cobras. Looking forward to it. Will be at the Chevron station prior tp 6:00am Sunday.

JTM, good to have a FNG to run along with us. It's almost an hour drive for me to get to the lift off point, but the drive is worth it. We'll hit ZEKE's in Prescott for breakfast and will hopefully get back to the valley before it gets too toasty. I WANNA DRIVE!

Hi, I was the FNG three weeks ago. We can hang. It’s all good. Glad to meet you. I will be tooling up 303 and will keep an eye out for you.

When you have a car that handles, I go for the twisties.

"When you have a car that handles, I go for the twisties."

yadda yadda yadda

You get off on round-a-bouts:)

The skull valley route is sublime. That said the 89a route is pretty sweet too. Both have their attractions. I could be persuaded easily to eat at zekes, then come back the way we came. I love that area, I17 is just another fairly soulless interstate conveyer belt.

KarlzEE Bebout 05-29-2021 02:15 PM

I'm thinking maybe go to PressKitt on 89, eat and fuel up. Return back down through Skull Valley, Kirkland Jct, Yarnell, Wickenburg and home. That would bypass the majority of the interstate and hit both fun routes to-from PressKitt

BTW, The Bagdad fire is under control and the evacuation is lifted. Now U No

Cobrakeith 05-29-2021 05:46 PM

I'm gonna miss this one, have a good drive boys.

Karl, that sounds really nice! We get to do the twisters up and the sublime back, plus wickenberg break on return for a chocolate shake to cool off before hitting the final lap!

KarlzEE Bebout 05-29-2021 08:36 PM

Keith.....sorry to hear you won't be joining us.

Bruce.huling 05-30-2021 02:47 PM

Wow. That was a trip. Glad Jan is ok.

KarlzEE Bebout 05-30-2021 09:14 PM

Beautiful day....until it wasn't.
BTW, I will not be getting another of the Zeke's Wagon Wheel pancakes again:(
