New Cobra Guy Saying Hello
1 Attachment(s)
Hi. I wanted to introduce myself to the group. I’m Rob Krantz and moved here from the Bay Area about a year ago. I own an AC Mk. IV Cobra, made in England (aluminum car). I’ve owned it about 10 years and for that time, was involved with the Bay Area Cobra Club (BACC). I have about 30,000 miles on my car and it is a nice “driver” with plenty of warts and patina, but cleans up nice. I’ve been coming to AZ with my wife the past 25 years and decided to retire here and enjoy a less crazy way of life that has become California. I look forward to meeting some fellow Cobra fans and enjoying some great drives here in Arizona.
Best, Rob |
Welcome Rob! Events and stuff are usually posted here as well as on the AZ Cobras FaceBook page. Sometimes it'll one or the other, if the poster has forgotten to post on both. We are a VERY loose group. No officers, no meetings, no dues, no whining, and NO RULES. You just missed our biggest get together at our 21st annual Christmas/Anniversary party 12/04 but we hope you'll join in with any of the things we do. For the most part, driving outweighs car shows but there will be some of both in the future. Weather permitting, we'll be having our annual New Year's Day run on Saturday 01/01/22. Watch this site and/or FaceBook for particulars. Have a good Christmas and hope to see you on the 1st.

With every passing year, I like the non S/C Cobras, more and more, be it big block, AC289, Autocraft, or your AC MKIV! Talking to guys that raced the small block coil spring cars, they all agree, for driving pleasure, there hard to beat. Great looking car Rob! Cheers, Dennis

Lovely car! I am jealous.

Welcome Rob. I sent you our new guy package. Connect with Paul for emails and keep up with the group on FaceBook. We have a member with a similar car living in Fountain Hills, Bill G. Sweet.
AZ Bob |
Welcome to the Insanity, Rob. If nothing else, you'll find that this group knows all of the twisty turnee roads and places to get the best Mexican food in the state.
|
Rob, be wary of Danr.
I'm just sayin..... |
Rob
Looks like you found a great place for this sickness. AZ looks like a home run and no more Cali restrictions, sweet. Enjoy and keep pics coming........ |

Welcome to Arizona Rob, hope to meet you one of these days on one of our drives. It will be nice to have a 427 street car in the group!

Rob, be wary of Keith, too...

Rob, be wary of Keith, Danr, and Karl (KARLOS) Scotty's the good guy ;) You'll have a ball with these guy's, all good people. Beautiful Mk. IV. BRG or Black??? My Big block (427S/O) car was BRG, no bars or stripes, they look great that way. Cheers TommyRot.

Hi Guys. Sorry for not replying to most messages and appreciate the nice comments and looking forward to meeting more of you. I have not been on the Club Cobra site for a while as I have had a lot going on these days but hope to be on the site more. I'll have my car at the Conours in the Hills show so perhaps I will meet some of you there. Look forward to it.

See you there!
