Yep - we see the rain showing up at the Vault around noon, so we'll be showing off the MachE GT.

Whoever won the wide, blue Shelby Sign, thank you for so generously giving it to Ron at the end of the day. I sure would like to know who it was so we can give some well deserved recognition.
Thank You Found out the generous donors are Mark and Lisa Schwarz. Thank for your kind gesture. AZ Bob |
Other than the crappy weather, we had a really nice 22nd anniversary party today. Think I heard that 59 people attended and lots of lie and bragging got a chance to happen. Ron and Pam were once again excellent hosts and made us all feel very welcome. They provided the excellent taco truck again and I'm sure everyone had plenty to eat. I'm sure BobB will add on regarding the various trophies and their recipients.
Good Times! :) |
Masimino (Photographer) will drop off flash drive to Ron's shop in 4-5 days. Then I can pick up and start posting photos.
Great time except for rain, 59 people, lots of gift exchange steals. Marines sending box truck next week to pickup toy boxes. AZ Bob |
There were 3 cobras and a 33 coupe left behind after the party. LOL. The owners have been located and will pick up today or tomorrow.
Spent the day with my Mustang Club in Wickenburg at another Toyz for Totz car show. Beside our 15 Mustangs there must have been 20 other cars. Normal is 400+. Think the rain maybe affected the turnout? AZ Bob |

A Couple of Photos
Our own generous Mark Schwarz runs the Comedic Gift Exchange and the 2 Marines sent to collect 5 full Toys for Tots Boxes. A CPL and a PFC. They both said thank you for inviting them. They loved every minute. Car guys!

Need name please
OK Cobra Party attendees, I need the name of the owner of the maroon cobra parked behind Bruce Huling's front left blue cobra. He won a Trophy and would like to recognize his bravery. I got Randy Thompsen for the charcoal color one behind Jim Cook.

You all are very welcome and we love hosting it. Always good to see what kid of 70's track suit Karl will show up in.
Great seeing old friends and making new ones. Yes, Huge thanks to Mark for gifting me back the autographed Shelby sign. The '33 is going home tomorrow. I think i may need to test it out to make sure there is enough traction on the back tires before Fitz comes to pick it up |

The Vault of Scottsdale today
Visited The Vault of Scottsdale today. Ron and I loaded all 5 boxes of Toys for Tots into his F250 pickup bed & back seat and took them to the Penske Racing Museum to dropped them off. Spent the last 3 days trying to contact ANYONE connected with the Marines program to find out if they were coming to get the toys (like the attending Marines told me) or where can I bring them to no avail. Phone messages, emails, new forms, etc. Finally I called the place I picked up the boxes and asked if we could bring the toys to them and the nice lady at the Penske Museum said “yes, bring them here.”
Now we know. I am disappointed that the Marines did not keep their word to me. My brother is a retired Marine Colonel and his word is gold. Ron’s shop is clear of toys (the kids kind) and ready for his next big party of 300+ people tomorrow. While I was there Fitz was picking up his FFR 33 Chevy. Plus I met Ron’s new assistant, Kara. Super lady. She had a copy of all the photos ready for me on a flash drive. You will all be seeing many of them soon. AZ Bob |
