New Cobra Owner - Looking to Network With Other Owners

I live in Chandler, AZ. Waited 18 months for delivery of my Superformance Cobra. Took delivery in October 2022.
I've only met a few other Cobra owners at shows here on the east side.
When I go to the car shows I am usually the only Cobra on display!
What gives? Where are all the Cobra owners?

Welcome. Newbie here too just sorting out my 2003 SPF. Sometimes there are 3 or 4 and sometimes I am the only one. Sat. there are like 6 different car shows going on. Royal Blue with polished rims here.

Many of us do not go to car shows as much as we drive. Occasionally, we go to one in Ajo or Gila Bend perhaps as a group. This Sunday, so far just Karl and myself, are going to Bagdad for a nice drive. It'll be over 250 miles for me and about 350 for Karl. You will occasionally find someone putting together a breakfast or lunch run here or on the FB group.
AZ Cobras do a couple of overnight trips each year. The next one is May 5&6 for the Kingman Fun Run, details are on Club Cobra.
Karl is going to Texas again this month for the third year in a row for the Texas Cobra Club meet.
The west side guys get together on Saturdays at 83rd Ave and Lake Pleasant Rd. They also do burger night at Padre Murphys on Tuesdays.
For cars shows you might try the Pavillions on Indian Bend just west of the 101.
If you want to put an event on here or the FB group, you are always welcome to do that.
Enjoy,
Mark

Thank you for the info Mark.
Aside from the overnight trips, do the area Cobra owners get together for other rides and/or events throughout the year? (Not counting June-September)
I'm curious just how many active Cobra owners there are that regularly participate in outings - with the understanding the family/work obligations will certainly cause participation levels to fluctuate per event.

MKS427 03-05-2023 05:13 AM

Just watch Club Cobra and FB. People will post what they are doing. You are welcome to post an outing as well. It's like herding cats, so it's best to have a concrete plan and a DEPARTURE time.
Did you see Karl's post for the annual picnic?

Shelby American, headquartered in Las Vegas, NV, holds their annual Birthday Bash every year. Although I believe it is now just called "The Bash". Since Carroll Shelby's birthday is in January. the weather doesn't usually cooperate for Shelby enthusiasts that early in the year. So, Team Shelby has moved the event to September. The tentative dates this year will be September28th thru October 1. You do not have to own a Shelby to attend. Your Superformance Cobra would fit right in. Hope to see you there!
