Looking for Electrical/Wiring Guru in Mesa AZ Area
3 Attachment(s)
Hello guys. I am aware this is not a Cobra specific request, but I am desperate at this point.
My brother-in-law inherited a headache and has asked me to reach out to my contacts for help. He has a 1936 Jaguar kit car. It has a 1986 1.6L Chevy Chevette motor in it. Biggest problem - the electrical wiring is an absolute mess. Someone with a kindergarten level of engine wiring did a number on the car over the years. He is in need of a mechanic/electrical engineer that knows their way around 1986 Chevy motors, coupled with strong experience in wiring. He does have the 1986 Chiltons manual for the engine. It started, ran and drove just fine a few months ago. Now he can't get power to the fuel pump. HELP!!! Attachment 38677 Attachment 38678 Attachment 38679 |
There used to be a place called Village Electric in down town Mesa. You could check to see if they are still open and are willing to take on the job. Good luck.

Good goobly goo, That looks like MG's Mucus (Lucas) electrical system owned by a 16yr old. I see a fuse block with several fuses. I'd start there.
The engine is Isuzu so it's solid. Is the pump solidly grounded? |

With work and kids, he simply doesn't have the time to troubleshoot it. Once it is up and running, I am certain he will find the time and the motivation to continue getting it into show car shape! |
