Breaking out of my shell
Well I have my kit, I ordered thru Gordon. I demo’d a donor car at Christmas and I think I'm ready to join the club and meet with the group.
I'm at the beginning stage of my build, I will do first rivet Friday...hopefully have rolling chassis by the end of the weekend. I still have never had a ride in a cobra and was wondering where you guys meet and was hoping someone could give me a ride. I've been to Gordon's shop a few times, and down to Scottsdale once but that's it. Is there a regular place besides Scottsdale I could find members of the group? Mike |
Mike, I have one of Gordons cars. Any time you may be in Tucson I would be happy to give you a ride and answer any questions that I can.

I know it's a drive for you...But every Sat. night a group of us meet at 77th ave and bell. South-west side of the street. We also meet every Tuesday at 75th. and Bell the 5 & Diner. On this comming Sunday we will be meeting at Hershals house for a car tinkering session. Hershal has gratiously allowed us to invade and use his lift. Hersh is near 19th ave and Dobbins road. Is there a time when everyone gathers at bell on Saturday? Also what is on the corner you meet, I think I'll try to make it....need to ask the wife if I have plans :)

The cars start arriving about 6pm. The location is just south of Bell on 77th ave South west side. There is a street light at 77th and bell. Just turn south at the light. Go down 100 yards and look right. Generally 4 to 5 cobras there. Along with 200 others.
Most leave by 8PM. See you there... |
I missed you guys then figured it out. I went to Bell two weekends ago around seven and didn't see 1 cobra. Later that week I read about the Knotts get together.
I'm going to try to sneek by the wife this weekend and if successful will get to bell again, anyone plan to be there? |
