I have a super poster of a red 427 S/C (CSX 3029) from the Knott's Kit Car Show and I wanted to know what the numbering meant. Venom_S:cool: |
Also, FWIW, the "CSX" stood for "Carroll Shelby Export". Those chassis which were manufactured in England and sent to the US for Mr Shelby's use were considered "export" versions from the factory, since they were being exported out of England.

Actually, Chopper, you are partially right.
The "C" stood for Mk II or later, Mk III cars. It never meant "Carroll Shelby" Later AC serial numbers featured "COB" (cars meant for British consumption) and "COX" (cars for export). Bud:JEKYLHYDE |
