Due to the lack of space for all of my toys, I am selling the Cobra. It has 15,000 miles and was completed 10/1997 using a 1993 donor with 39,000 miles. It is on it's second paint job, red no stripes.
This is a list of options; Wipers Heater Full bumpers Double wide roll bar with Lexan pannel to help block the wind. Convertable top and side curtains Power steering Cruise control Wind wings Visors $22,000.00 / OBO Bill 928-636-6190 |
Bill,
Say it ain't so..... MIke I'll keep my ears open down here ..... |
Bill, sorry to hear this news. I must agree that sometimes our "toys" seem to accumlate and we run out of room and time to play with them all. I will also pass the word around Tucson. I would like to know how well the glass works on your roll bar ? I have the same double roll bar and am considering doing what you did if it works. John

John,
With the lexan shield we can hold a conversation at 65 MPH. It also increased the gas mileage from 22 to 24 mpg. Bill |
Thanks Bill, I will go ahead and plan on installing a Lexon back wind shield. Did you drill any air holes in the glass? I was very surprised to hear about the gas mileage increase. I have just turned 500 miles on mine and changed the oil and filter, and run a third gas mileage check. I am getting 17.7 + - on the gas consumption. I really thought that I'd do better than that, I had hoped for somewhere in the 19 to 22 MPG since I only have the Mustang 302 with GT-40 heads, GT-40 upper and lower intakes, and the E-303 cam. I spoke with an auto parts guy today who has indicated an interest in purchasing a Cobra BUT, when faced with the reality of putting out the cash , he backed off. I'll keep spreading the word here in Tucson. John

John,
What rear gears are you running? Your setup is close to mine....302 gt40P heads with F cam. I get about 20 MPG and that is with a Carb. I'm running 3:27 gears. I wonder if the auto tranny has something to do with it? Mike |
Mikec, I am running the 3:27 gears also. I don't really know what is happening with the engine but I can't even lay any rubber down with the automatic 1st gear ! I'm rather disappointed. Also there is a continious oil drip coming from the bellhousing - rear seal I guess. We are glad to hear that Ginny is on the mend. I'll be taking next week off and taking a cruise up the Inland Passage to Alaska. John
