Let's do the Pav.
How about Saturday October 5th we have a gathering of AZ Cobras at the Pavillions....
East siders....what is the best time to get there? Mike |
Sign me up.
Finally got all the bits and pieces back in place last Friday night. I drove the tires off last weekend - took it everywhere and then made excuses to go nowhere in particular. I am trying a 180 degree thermostat with a can of 40 Below. In the middle of the day, idling in traffic the temp never got over 185 degrees. And last weekend was in the low 100's. Credit to Bob B. for the combo but it cooled my car down at least 15 degrees. Jeff Guisto |
Arrive early
My last couple of experiences at Pav would imply to me that if folks are going, they need to be there NO LATER THAN 4:00 PM. Past that, all of the slots get filled up.

Hey everyone - see you at the Pavillions. We probably won't get their until the early evening, though, but hopefully some of you will still be there! -Rich

PAV....
From all the reply's I have gotten it seems imperative that we start to arrive about 2pm. This insures that we will all be able to park together. I'll get an email out tonight. Mike |
I plan on attending with 143-- Finally "finished" ---still a few things to tweak-- but for the most part she's done--
I look forward to being part of the fun-- See you there-- Jim :) |
Mikec, Tomorrow, Sat., Oct 5th, the Tucson guys are having an open house at a high school auto shop. Bill Markley is a shop teacher and he has opened the facilities to us to look under our cars and make repairs and even tune them. What started out as only being attended by two or three cars has blossumed into a real event, it looks like we'll have about ten cars showing up. The school has three auto lifts, wheel alignment, diagnostic equipment, and all of the tools that we wish that we could own. We'll be there from 8:00am until 3:00pm. If any of you guys are in town please drop by, it's at the Palo Verde HS on east 22nd St. Also, that evening we'll be attending the "5 & Dinner " cruise-in from 6:00pm until 9:00pm. Sorry but we won't be able to attend the PAV with the rest of you. Hopefully we will have a new Cobra on the streets of Tucson later today. Dave Johnson is up there in Phoenix right now getting his Cobra through the inspection and then a title. John

Way to John...
I am impressed with you guys down there. See you for the Club Sandwich run. Mike |
Great to see you all tonight.
Hershal -- the GT40 looks great. You should have seen my kids jump when you started it up. I, of course, shot that "look of parental concern" over to my wife, while inside I'm thinking to myself "COOL!". :-) Mikie -- always a pleasure. Glad you're enjoying the car so much. Now with this awesome weather we're having, you can drive it even more (if that's possible). Bob -- car looks great as usual. Thanks for the words of encouragement -- now how many years to I have to go until my kids are out of college??? Jim -- as I said -- a real beauty. Nice job on the car. I'll have to check it out again soon. Overall -- nice to see a good representation of the AZ cars. More FE's than I anticipated, too... Ben P.S. -- Thanks to everyone for your "hospitality" -- you know I still have a long road ahead of me before the right car is in my garage. In the mean time thanks for letting me live vicariously through you all. |
Ben,
It was good seeing you again. We 20 cars show up for the event. Your day will come. Don't forget Hersh still owes you a ride. Mike |
Well It sure sounds like a good time. I had hoped to be there but had to be in Prescott this weekend. I'll try and catch the next eventand meet some of you folks.
