November Arizona Cobra event in Tucson

Hi to all Cobra owners and builders, Mikec has asked us here in Tucson to put on an event for the Arizona Cobra Club in the month of November. Right now we are 'kinda leaning toward Sunday, November 10th. Hey Bob B., are there any events up there that would deminish the attendance down here if we did it on that Sunday ? We are planning an event for both the guys and their wives/friends. Basically, we'll visit an interesting place and then gather for food and drinks. If you guys get down here about 10:30am we hope to have you on your way home by 4:30pm, at that hour you'll get almost all the way home before complete darkness. At this point I'd say that you'd better bring along a $10.00 bill per person for any entrance fees that might come up. Of course there will be a simple "question and answer" contest like the last time. We may throw in a poker run. The "prize" will be either a subscription to Kit Car Magazine or something of equal value. I know that we Cobra owners don't have time to respond to questions about what we want to do for an event, but, I will ask / say that we can visit a Titan Missile Museum, the missile is there in it's hole in the ground. We can visit a cave, the Desert Museum is here as is Old Tucson ( a bit pricey), as well as other places. If you've been to Tucson and have a favorite place that would interest others, please let me know. John

November 10th Event in Tucson

John, there is nothing going on that day (Sunday, Nov 10th) and I even have the day off. Nov 9th is the annual Lupus Car Show at Metrocenter. I'll be there with bells on, well, a horn at least. Lots of great things to do in Tucson. Kit peak (now $31 per person and 6 month wait), The Titan base needs reservation for group and quite a way south of town. The Mission, Colossal Cave, Old Tucson, The Zoo (Desert Museum). Mt Lemon, Air Museum etc . Personally I would prefer to stay close, short and cheap like last time. The best part is talking and eating with the Great Tucson Clan.

The Titan Silo is a must see.

John-there is no Starbucks/Einsteins near it.

But,you still should be able to find it.;)

Bob B., thanks for your input. We will plan to go to either one place of interest for a few hours or two places with less time in each. Lots of time will be saved for eating, drinking, and conversation. John
