Mustang exhaust
I would use the classifieds, but this stuff is too bulky to ship so I am looking to get rid of locally. I could, however be bribed into driving it out to southern California as I am there on a weekly basis anyhow.
Parts are off my 90 GT Mustang (5spd) MAC 1-5/8" long tube headers. HTC coated MAC off road h-pipe. 2-1/2" diameter for long tubes MAC 2-1/2" cat back exhaust with chambered mufflers. $300 takes the whole deal and I have no sentimental attachment to it so let's talk. All 3 above will yield a complete system from front to back. The system has low miles and is in great condition. I am toning down my Mustang and will be changing over to a set of shorties and an h-pipe with cats. Jeff Guisto |
Jeff -- "toning down" your Mustang? You must be gettin' OLD. :3DSMILE:
Like me. LOL Actually, when I had my '89 5.0, I ran all stock except Dynomax cat back. The drone at 2000 RPM was annoying, but the start-up and idle sound was worth it. Ben P.S. -- I'd still like to take you up on your offer. Maybe we could find a place where I could take some more cool car pics for you, too... Remind me what part of town you live in -- I'm near the I-10 and Ray area. |
if anyone is planing on selling a fox body mustang with the 5.0 please tell me,89 and up only though due to mass air meter.

Ben,
Getting Old? Well, 40 hits in a few weeks - don't really consider that old. Old is when I can't push in the clutch pedal anymore or hear the sidepepes. Had to tone it down. Going to press it back into daily driver status. About 30 miles one way to work and the combo of blower whine, slinky exhaust, violent clutch, and 647ftlbs at the rear wheels did not make for a comfortable cruise last year. Besides, it was way faster than my Cobra - can't have that! The green light getaway consisted of bringing the revs up to about 3grand and dumping the Ram full metallic clutch - it was either in or out, no slip at all. Can you say cop bait? Anything more than about 1/4 throttle with boost just resulted in tire haze and a side view of whatever street I was trying to navigate. So far the supercharger is gone, a Borla cat-back muffled it down a few decibels, and the engine is scattered about my garage waiting for some new internals It will still be a fairly stout piece when it goes back together but it will be smog legal, and sedate and quiet enough to drive anywhere. Sorry AZGUY, its not for sale and definately not a good first car or a car for anyone in their teens. Ben, speaking of drives - I am at 35th and Greenway. Right across the universe. Thought we would see you at Pavillions Saturday. Over a thousand cars - the best spots were gone by 8:00am. What a zoo! Email me and we can make plans to enjoy some open road. The weather could not get any better than it was last weekend. Jeff |
