Fathers Day
"Anthem Motors will be hosting AZ Cobra Club on Fathers day June 14th 5 pm 9 pm. To those who are not familiar with Anthem Motors, this is a Backdraft Cobra dealership in North Phoenix who also service Cobras check them out at www.AnthemMotors.com . They are located at 21242 N. Black Canyon Hwy (Take I-17 to Deer Valley Exit just north of 101. Turn left (West) on Deer Valley road and left again on the frontage road (Black Canyon Hwy). They are in the 3rd building on your right just south of Cracker Barrel.) If you get lost, please call them at (623) 879-0930.
To celebrate Father s Day, you get to take a photo with your Cobra; inspect the under carriage by putting your Cobra on a lift; eat great Italian food; first 10 to bring their Cobra will get a free Cobra gift; plus surprises for Father s Day celebration! And of course, you ll have a chance to test drive a new Backdraft Cobra! |

We will plan to be there in the Green Machine (If I survive the annual fathers day breakfast in bed from the kids :JEKYLHYDE ) I will see if I can talk Jim into bringing his red rocket! Sounds like fun!

I am trying to get a few Tucson Cobras to go up there and your date, June 14th is a Saturday while Father's Day is Sunday, June 15th. ??????????????????? I'm sure glad that you aren't driving to Ohio !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you ride with me your instructions are: get in, strap up, shut up. John

The info supplied to me came from Anthem Motors. hey called it a fathers day event...but were holding it on the Saturday before. I questioned them and they said this was correct. Mike I may just have to ride with you to the fling and give you directions....... See you soon. |
Mikec, thank you for setting the day straight. It is on SATURDAY, June 14th. Mike F and I are planning to go to Hershel's on Monday, June 16th, for a pre-DVSFIII car inspection. We'll be ready for a departure on Tuesday the 17th. If you have a comfortable seat that you'd like to install on the pax side of my car for the trip then bring it to Hershel's and we'll put it in on Monday. Otherwise, all I've got are the stock FFR seats. I'm really looking forward to the trip.

That's actually much better for me. I'm trying to decide whether to drag the wife down (kicking and screaming) and hope she gets more excited about the whole idea after a ride, or bring my 10 yr old daughter. She already loves cool cars and the wife can't resist buying our girls anything. :) |

Wow what an appetite whetter for tonite at Anthem! My daughter and I just saw an aluminum 289 style with black stripes come off the 51 and do a quick run up 32nd street to Shea and back. My daughter yelled out, "Dad, look at that car!" When I told her that's what we were going to go ride in tonite she flipped out. :)
