Farewell to Karsten Precision
Well, tonight as 10:01PM I unplugged my last computer at Karsten Precision. Karsten Precision was a machine shop owned by Karsten Mfg. the maker of PING golf clubs. PING is doing fine the golf clubs are still here and they are getting ready to launch some new models. I been working here for 4yrs 2months and 13days and this is the end. Back on Janurary 4, management told us that they were closing us down for good. I told everyone I was the last one out and I am. I got to say goodbye to all the employees as they left, kind of sad but the future is wide open, no rush to find a job, right now I'm too busy. I've been doing side work which has me going crazier than ever. When or if that calms down I might look for a job. It's been a fun ride along the way, learned alot of stuff, worked with some really nice people, time to turn the page. Maybe this will turn into more Cobra time.
MikieC, I need you to update your email records, paulg@karsten-precision.com has been terminated. I'll send you the new address. |
Paul,
I'll get your new address Sat. night. Everytime I have been in your shoes it has worked out for the best..... Mike |
Paul,
I was in your shoes two years ago. It was incredible time to clear my head, get things in order and yes, drive the Cobra. If I can help out, just say the word. Jeff Guisto |

Paul,
I have been in the oil and gas business since 1972 and I have worn those shoes more times than I care to remember. But, as it was stated earlier things always worked out. Our office just let go of about 22 of our contract employees (some that have been with us for over a year) today. I really hate these market corrections...I think some of our best people are walking out the door today. Good Luck! Clois |
Paul, I enjoyed our drive to DVSFIII. I'm sorry to hear about the job loss, Good Luck in your future. John

Some of what Karsten lives on, the first time we met we did not talk much. ESCO is the company that I work for, and some former Karsten people also. We have taken over some of the programs that you had at your shop. Now we know some of the same people like, Skip, and the bald dude with the tatoo's on his head. I thought it was funny but we were competors, and had the same intrest in Cobra's. We will do our best to make the customers happy the same way that Karsten did. Good luck things always work out for the best! Brian |
