SEMA Show

Just returned from the SEMA show in Vegas.... Seems as though the Bros. Kirkham made quite a splash.
They had the most primo spot in the main hall, right in the midst of the Ford display. Their booth was outstanding. Very flashy, very classy. I think I have some pix, but I havent got my camera back from the guys I was travelling with...yet.
Incidentally, as I was leaving the show at the end of the day on wednesday, I saw a fellow in a very official-looking Shelby shirt looking at the Kirkham booth......He was not looking very happy, and seemed to be complaining to a couple of "suits". Hmmm.

bigmike,

...a friend was there and he commented too that it seemed quite interesting to say the least that Ford had a big fancy showing at SEMA this year, right in Carroll Shelby's back yard (Vegas), and yet Shelby's Cobras were not being displayed in the Ford area, but Kirkham Cobra cars were ??? No egg to Kirkham here at all, great cars that we all know and like....

Hmmmm. May have been a small detail that got overlooked for some reason, hard to say... :rolleyes But on the other hand it sure sent out a confusing message to lots of people that recently read and heard from several magazines and events that Ford and Shelby were working together again.

It may have already been covered in other threads here, but hopefully the great news we all heard about some new cars coming out from Ford that would be "Shelby inspired" are still in the making...

Who knows what's really up these days?

Its also interesting that years ago Superformance was honored on the Ford Motorsports Display at SEMA. The first replica manufacturer to be put on the display.

Ford Motorsports also put a photograph of the SPF Brock Coupe in their aftermarket parts catalog a few years ago.
