19 cars...

Tortilla flats run today was the biggest on the road event in AZ Cobra history.

19 cars showed up for a beautiful day. Temps in the high 70's.

Ben,

The silber car with the black stripes belongs to a member named Mark. The car is an FFR. It's been on the road about a year.

Looks like you folks had a good time. I wish we could have been there. Boy, do I wish we could have been there. I'm presently freezing my wazoo off in Halifax so I had to miss this one. High temp here yesterday was -11 deg. C or about 15 deg F. with winds 15 gusting to 25 knots. That was in the morning and it went down from there to about -20 C. Told the better half she should take the Snake and go with you guys but she had already scheduled herself to help some folks give immunizations on Saturday. Hopefully we'll make it next time, assuming Tortilla Flats is still open. I finally got most of the problems resolved with the center-squirter carbs and can turn lots of rear rubber to smoke again.

Bob.

You and Jan were missed. Everybody was asking where you were. Figured you were working.

see you next time.

Next time we do that trip we should go to the end of the road where the dirt starts. You can turn around and get on it a little bit without running over motorcycles. A couple of us went up that way and had fun. Jo Ellen was sweating. If you happen to go off the road, the rocks are big and far down. The fall would kill you before the rocks.:JEKYLHYDE  %/

Fitz..

The fun way to come down from up there is to put your car in neutral and coast down to the Flats. Our friend Jerry decided we should race down that way as that is what he used to do with his motorcycle gang. We tried it. Not smart.

The best way is to come from the dirt end, coast down when there is water in the creek just before TF and see if you can make it across before the car floods.

I am looking at a Saturday in March or April for the Lake run. I will let you know soon. Any weekends that I should not pick because of someone wedding, death, hang over, holiday (I know St Pats day) (when is ground hog day?). We all got together last year on Ground Hog Day and drove our cars into this cave (loose dirt) and the first one that came out the other side and didn't go back in their hole was the winter. Several weeks later when we all got our cars out of repair, the ground hog sent us telegrams and wanted to know what happened?

My spelling was I say "poor". Correction above for winter is winner. Dah!

I have posted the last of the pics I took at TF.

Great pics! Happy to see we aren't the only state enjoying great weather this time of year. I pulled the car out yesterday to do some sanding in 78 deg sunny weather.
