Titled and Licensed - Wahoooo
Finally trailered down to the MVD at Greenfield and Southern to register my Midstates I got out of Texas which had a Nebraska title. The previous title listed it as a 1992 Assembled Vehicle, so I was worried about smog police trouble...
The folks at the MVD were so nice and quick. I only needed level 1 inspection. They titled it as "1966 Cobra Roadster" - no emissions :) - under the Specially Constructed Vehicle rules in AZ. I paid my $35.34 for two years of registration and tags and left with license plate in hand. Arizona is great... Drove the cobra to work today for the first time. Weather expected to be about 83 here today. No jacket, even in the early AM. I live in Queen Creek and managed to get two motorcycle cops and two patrol cars lined up behind me for part of the drive. They just wanted a look and all waved as they turned right while I was stopped at a light. Arizona is great... State Farm insured me for about $250 for 6 months with a declared $25000 value and full coverage. Not too bad, but not great. However, I really like the service State Farm has given me over the years, so I'll stay with them. Still need to do some TLC stuff before I am out for track events, but hope to meet up with some AZ folks soon. On the road and Happy as He!! |
Congrats on another Cobra in the area.

Scott,
There is a Purple Cobra in town and yes it is an FFR. The car was built by an airplane mechanic. Lots of toggle switches on the dash. It was consigned and sold through Anthem motors about 1 year ago. Mike |
All Y'all,
Mine is reddish-maroon with darker shade stripes. It has 87 vette rims on it (for now - hope to fix that in the next few months as $$$ allow). I don't have a dig camera, and only have one or two photos on film, and have no idea how to post a photo, but I'll try to scan a photo and post as soon as I get a chance. |
CONGRADULATIONS from Tucson !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope to see you at some of the events. John
