Tortilla Flats

Hey Guys - What's the deal with the ride to Tortilla Flats? Is there a restaurant at the end of the road? I haven't been there in ten years or more.

I have a busy day scheduled (Have to have my juvenile delinquent to 'Saturday School' at 8:00, then we have tickets for the jazz festival at noon.)

I'm really looking forward to the drive out there - I used to ride my crotch rocket out there years ago. It was a biiitch trying to pass those covered wagons...

Mikiec, Planning meeting at the usual gas station at the 60 and Idaho Rd? What time? Hoping to even get my sweetie to come along for the ride. Had to promise to buy her breakfast. She's getting her eyeballs sliced Thursday so she won't really commit.

Hey

What day is this ride?

Mike B, Usually a little kerosene, and and little #2 diesel, mixed with some Marvel Mystery Oil.

One thing about this Saturday's trip is that I'll probably have to wear a jacket since the morning temperatures will be only in the 70°s. Not quite like your Ohio weather.

Mike Braatz 10-19-2004 03:03 PM

It was 32 degrees --- the other night --
I'm going to put my Cobra into LUK's lobby for the winter --
They have a display for visitors to see when they enter into the building--
But to tell you the truth I would rather be in Az -- and drive it--

Karl - You've changed the fuel mixture on your Chevy? I thought you were still recycling fry grease for Burger King. Is it the fuel change that gets all that horsepower? Low 11's is awesome. I doubt that my 351 would even crack high 12's.

I've been running a mixture of Coleman fuel with two tubes of KY Jelly and a quart of clorox per tank. I can't get the bugs worked out of my Bernzomatic injection, so I think I'm gonna just remove it.

Can't wait for the trip to Tortilla Flat. I'll need to get up early - I haven't had the car out of the garage for a while, and there are 6 inches of sunshine on the driveway that I'll have to shovel off before I can get the car out.

It is a problem, all of this sun.... it causes the paint on my car to shine....

What time are you meeting? Crack of dawn or later? I loaned my car to Art Manni at Hillbank for his new showroom and would have to retrieve it...
