Moderator Help Please

Lately I have not been able to see attached images or avatars most of the time. All I see is a little box with (I think) a red X in it, where the picture should be.

Is this a setting in my computer or some setting I need to change here?

Please let me know if this is something I can fix easily.

Thanks

...are you on a highspeed connection, or a dial-up?

What Internet Browser are you using?

Ron,

Thanks for the reply and I'm sorry to bother you with what may be a problem internal to my system...

My connection is likely high-speed as I'm at work, but it acts as slow as dial-up since there a lot of us here.

Second, I'm using MS Internet Explorer.

I used to get the pictures attached and the change occurred a couple weeks ago.

Just now I noticed that some pictures of W. Mitty's Kirckham air cleaner mods that I couldn't get a couple days ago are there today, however none of the pictures of the twin cam HRG are there. Seems hit and miss. Bandwidth issue?

Interesting problem... I checked both threads you mentioned.

The difference is: the Mitty pics are linked to Gallery images, while the HRG pics are all attachments to posts....hmmm.

When ever there is a change on an "office computer" there is always the chance that it is an IT thing that may have been done for security... but both image sets are sourced from the same ClubCobra server.

I would suggest the first thing to try is to clear all CC cookies and delete your temporary Internet Files. (Tools - Internet Options - Delete Files..and check 'Delete all Offline Content' and hit OK. Close and re-open the browser program and check the HRG thread.

It might be a security feature in the new Windows service pack 2. It has to do with pop ups. Trying holding down the control key when you start the Cobra Club link or going to the tool bar and clicking on Pop ups. I know in certain emails with pictures I have the same problem with a box and a red X, but then it tells you to 'Click here" in the upper tool bar to allow the pictures.
