Transportation Ideas
I'm going to need to get my car down to Gordon's shop in a few weeks for paint. Not that it's all that much further along but it's time for color. Maybe this will motivate me, too.
I'm looking for ideas on getting it there. Unfortunately, I don't have a truck or trailer. I could probably rent one but since I've never pulled a trailer, I'm not sure that's a great idea. I talked to Gordon about him picking it up for me and I think he'd do it but I know that he's really busy and doing a pick-up wouldn't be his first choice. I'm going to call Stewart Transport tomorrow and see if they do anything local. Does anybody else have any ideas I could try? Driving it would be nice but I'm not at that that point. If Larry was coming to town again, I could try and talk him into bringing his Serpent Express back! :) Thanks. |

You might try a bed type tow truck. You do have AAA right. Tell tham ity's broke and have them haul it off to Gordons. :) :) There are a couple of trailers in town that are owned by club members. How soon do you need to get it to Gordons? Mike |
I've got a truck. You find a trailer and we will get it down there. Just not this coming Sat or Sun
The AAA thing sounds pretty good tho. How would they know any different |

I have a trailer you are more than welcome to use. It is at 19th ave and Peoria. It has a 16ft bed and single axle, just perfect for these cars. Let me know if you want to use it, Dan

Thanks, everyone. Since this is a 3-step process (body/chassis to Gordon's, chassis back to my house, chassis back to Gordon's), Dave & Dan, I may take you up on your offer for step's 2 & 3. Gordon - I'll give you a call. I'm looking at early in the week of 5/23.

Thanks a bunch, Steve!! I was looking at sometime around the 24th of this month. I'm off work that week and hoped something might work around the beginning of the week. Do you think you might have any time around then?
