Duffee built my motor. 17,000 care free miles later I would certainly recommend them.

Glad you are home in one piece... the HumVee picture must wait - they have garaged the beast for the next few days as it is a balmy 47 C today... I'll get it to you soon...

Hey Fritz,
PM me for the # to Mike Zimmerman's shop. Mike has probably built 1/2 the local drag engines of the cars in the top 10 of the ADRA point standings. He does normally aspirated engines. jeffc

I have heard you guys before talk about some other engine builders in Phoenix but I felt like I never got the actual proper name and locations. Thanks for the info.
Gordon built the car from scratch; body and motor. He is going to be doing some intake work soon. Until the motor blows up, I will be using him.

Hey Fitz,
I think that they can punch out that 460ci to a 618ci%/ What would you do with all that power.......

Fitz
PLZ wait till my car is done.
Then GO FITZ

It runs hot. I am not sure how hot it should go. I will ask Gordon again. I always get a little nervous when I see the temp gage starts going over 210 when I am in stop and go or slow. Once I get going it drops down to 190-200. I haven't added anymore water and when I got back from the Pavillions the other night there was just a few 4-5 onces dripping out. I did not run the air conditioner because I had the side windows off getting a little modification done. More to come on that. I am trying to keep the hot air out from rushing into the cockpit. It is just a matter of getting as much area sealed as possible.

Aaaah, but it's a dry heat

Hi guys in AZ, I live here in Lake Havasu City and plan on building a Hurricane with an FE motor. Question, does anyone out there know of an engine source here in AZ? I'm looking for a 428 or 427 to rebuild or a good engine ready to go. I thought maybe there might be a good one around that wouldn't be too far away to retrive.
Anyway, if any of you know something leave me a note.
Thanks Much, Bill Bess
