So who's got the pics and the stories? Did Mikiec get you guys lost and you're still not back? :D

mikiec 03-06-2006 09:23 AM

Those that wimped out do not deserve the story.

Actually I was at the back of the pack. I know my limitations. However, I and ERA Mike beat everyone to the feed stop. Reminded us about the Tortise and Hare.... Mike and I got there about 10 minutes ahead of the rest of the group. So I ask you... Who got lost.:3DSMILE: :3DSMILE:

The waitress did an outstanding job, considering she was not expecting 24 people to show up.

11 cobras and one wannabe(a vette) showed up for the run.

The weather was perfect.

Yeah Mikie and ERA got there 10 min ahead and we stopped for about 20 min at the rest stop. Sure drew a crowd there. Had a great time with the group. Can't wait for the next gathering.

Yesterday's ride was most excellent. A very nice turn out made for an impressive little parade going up the mountain. This is about the third time I've seen the Fitz-mobile out and about since the new engine and I think he's probably got more miles on it already than he did on the big one that let him down. Mesa Dave...patience is a virtue...better to wait until the car is going straight before dropping the hammer. I'm thinking the locals got a nice show when we all left the restaurant. There was thunder in them thar hills.

Karl
Guess I got a few things to learn about doing burn-outs.
Scared the hell out of the wife.
Kinda took me by surprise also.
Was a real fun ride tho.

Looks and sounds like a great time. Thanks for posting the pics. I hate that I had to work and wimped out.

mikiec 03-06-2006 06:11 PM

dave,

Tell me more.... What did you do? I'm guessing you got sideways.

I did my burn out for the youg lad I was talking to before I pulled out. Love that 1st and second gear burnout.

Craig.. You could have called in with a cough.

Mike

Fitz 03-06-2006 08:05 PM

You betcha!

dave from mesa 03-06-2006 09:27 PM

Don't know if it looked as bad as it felt. Just need to make sure that the car is going straight before I do it again. ;)

greg schroeder 03-07-2006 08:48 AM

Looks fun. Sorry I missed it.

mikiec 03-07-2006 10:26 AM

Karl...

Remember at Tortilla Flats when Scotty from Tucson almost lost it? Was Daves less or worse that that?

Also, should we now give Dave the nickname of "Sideways" ?

Greg... Yup it was fun. Actually we always have fun.

Mike

dave from mesa 03-07-2006 10:50 AM

Let's see "Late boy" or "Sideways"
Don't think it was that sideways but then again I didn't see it from behind.

Karl Bebout 03-07-2006 02:33 PM

Wasn't all THAT sideways but I thought it was probably enough to tighten some spinchters. I noticed that after the car got straightened out, that it calmly and sedately motored on down the road. Have you gotten judy's elbow out of your ribs yet?

Fitz 03-07-2006 05:09 PM

now how do we do that in reverse?
