Didn't get much interest up north here for a Dyno Day at Anthem. I asked John to put it on hold for now.

This is what I need....

Somebody to step to the plate and get this thing organized. Once, that is done I can send out an email to the gang about the time, place, cost, number of pulls etc. The last time we did this we had 8 cars. We can use that number for starters. Sorry, Paul will not be providing burgers this time.

Anthem has said they will do it. Gordon may be able to help arrainge something, although he is in the midst of moving his shop right now. I think others will also. East side-West side I do not think it will matter.

What I'll do, as of now, is send out an email to see what the interest is. I'll have those interested respond here.

Count me in unless I am out of state

I did the dyno day in Chandler with the club. The dyno equipment and numbers were unimpressive. I also ran on a dyno in Scottsdale a year ago Christmas (Dyno Comp?), just before I did the makeover on my motor. The shop and equipment were excellent. They have the air/fuel meters and seem to do a lot of tuning there, though I was just looking for a "baseline" run at the time. I spoke with the owner about doing a dyno day for the club and he was willing to work with us. I will check to verify that it was Dyno Comp I was dealing with.

I wouldn't mind breaking err testing my car, so yes on the dyno

I'm interested in a few pulls at Anthem.

Karl Bebout 09-08-2006 01:43 PM

I'm up for mistreating my little hot rod. I certainly prefer being able to do some tweaking between pulls. I don't see any advantage or point of just making pulls one right after another. Also prefer the East side, but am willing to go where ever we can get the best service. I'm going to have to travel quite a bit in the next couple months so I hope I'll be in town when this gets arranged.

Dyno Day

Count me in. East,West, North, South doesn't matter to me. I'm just interested in a better tune. The numbers would be cool also.:)

Hey

I no longer have my "Tupperware" Cobra, but could I bring my Mustang?

Steve

mikiec 09-08-2006 04:22 PM

Steve..

You can bring the Mustang or the other toy I heard you have.

You can count me and my Lister in for this wherever it ends up being held. A baseline run is fine since I have never had one done before but if we can swing it so there is enough time to do mutiple runs over the weekend to allow for a little self tuning that would be great. Just don't do it when Proautosports is having a track day...

Mike Brasfield 09-08-2006 09:58 PM

I'm in if we can do some tuning. I've had 4-5 solo pulls some time ago at a Mustang shop. Good results and lots of adjustments between pulls. If just to see what the HP is, not too interested.

Mulv 09-08-2006 10:55 PM

Bucko ,that would be a heck of a pull from San Rafael, like 750 miles....
Get Larry Davi or Randy or one of the other guys to do some dyno stuff in Livermore, it is a little closer...;)

Update on my earlier post. I confirmed that it was Dyno-Comp that I used before and they were great. I have requested info for a club event there and will pass along what I learn.

Steve...as Mikiec notes, I now live in Mesa. I changed my signature today to read "Mesa Mike". Believe me I know the drive very well. I brought the FFR down the middle of May. I left the Bay Area at 8pm and rolled into town about 7pm just in time for the awful eastbound I-10 routine in the AM rush hour. I Pulled over and slept for 2 hours and then made the rest of the journey traffic free. I have only been to one local car event so far, the saturday night thing at McDonalds in Scottsdale. Lots of cars there. If I can find you I'll try and join up with you guys this saturday for the bkfst run.
