Entry level wheels? The vast majority of cobras have 5 lug Hallibrand lookalikes. If you want pin drive hubs add 3,000.00 plus wheels and spinners or use adaptors and axels etc. to keep the rubber under the fiberglass and still spend a lot of $$$. I do agree that there isn't any reason to jump, necessarily. You have to decide

The Lake Havasu Red Roadster is SOLD.
Excellent car; fair price.
Lot's of fun for the new owner.

Yeah, he sent an email to me last night letting me know. When is the next Arizona event where I can get a better look at some of these cars? I suppose it depends on if it warms up and stops raining. I had to defrost my window this morning!

Hi Steve, some of the hard liners are planning a trip this coming Saturday up to Payson and then Christopher Creek for lunch. The plan is to leave the gas station at Shay and the Beeline, Fountain Hills, at 10 and then make a pokey little drive up the hill. If the weather comes through, there may be a dozen cars or more. You're certainly welcome to come take a look and tag along if you want. I'll be there if its not raining.

steven566 01-22-2007 04:19 PM

Payson , eh? Do you have any heat in that car? The high is 50 degrees, should be a pretty cold ride up there. Maybe I will meet up with you guys at Shea at 10am. Do you meet at 10, or do you leave your meet space at 10?

Steve

Looks like I won't be able to make it out there this weekend, I just committed to the dunes on Saturday....

Steve

steven566 01-22-2007 07:55 PM

Yeah, it's great fun ripping around those sand dunes on a dirtbike! It's got to be like having a snowmobile on a ski hill with fresh powder!

Do you guys get together every weekend, or is it like once a month? I am definitely interested in going on rides in a few different cars.

He is thinking about taking a vacation to AZ and may deliver it. What do you guys think of LoneStar Classic kits?

Steve

Description: LoneStar Classics Cobra Replica
Purchased in 2002. Completed in 2003 with 6000k miles since. This car is titled in Texas as a 2003/LNST. I purchased this Cobra as a kit for the construction experience. I never imagined I would keep it this long, but after driving it...it became hard to part with. Well, it's time to let it go and start another project.

Over $35,000 invested. Offerred at $27,000.

Ford Motorsport T-5 Trans (5-speed)
Currie 9" rear end

Hugh

Hugh, We have a Lonestar here in Tucson and it looks good. I think that it is slightly larger than the normal Cobra. The owner here loves it. John

Patients, Steve, patients. I looked for over a year. Although, this very well could be the one for you. Go look at it and bring a friend that's knowledgeable if you aren't. Solid rear? Make sure the seat bottoms aren't foam on plywood or, at least, understand this makes for a 100 mile car between stops.

Brian Williams in MESA built a gorgeous Lone Star. He can tell you what to look at/for AND he knows his stuff!
