When people ask questions or make comments, I always refer to the beast
as 'she'.

I usually refer to any of my cars as "The Car" That way I don't tend to anthropomorphise a machine....

I saw my first 427 Shelby Cobra when I was a kid. She stole my heart and I ached for one from 1967 until last year. One day while I was recouperating from colon surgery my buddie calls me. He says...think you're going to live forever? Spend your money now before you can't enjoy life anymore. So two weeks after I was out of the hospital I was test driving Cobras. I bought an SPF and I'm passionate about it. I call her Lili. For all of you Blazing Saddles fans out there, you know what I mean. Lili VonStuph was a chores girl that Hedley Lamar was deeply passionate about. There was a scene in the Governor's office where Headley was fantazising about Lili. He was standing behind a statue of Justice breathing deeply while fondeling her breasts and repeating Lili, Lili, legs, Lili. The first night I got my SPF I sat in her for at least 2 hours, smoked a Cohiba and drank a bottle of wine and wallowed in self admiration. I finally had my Cobra. I have more pictures of her than I do of my Grandchildren. She is my passion. You guessed it...my truck is named Headly.

The first time I really stepped on the throttle of my Cobra resulted in enough rear end "step out" that I ran out of steering angle to correct it, I had to abort. This all happened in about .25 seconds. From that moment on, she was known as "Evil" (because she tried to hurt me even though I care so much for her). My 600 HP Vortech Blown Mustang Cobra is her sister, and she's affectionately known as the "Beast". Both cars demand extreme caution when putting them through their paces!
