Abrasion resistant Lexan in Chandler
I finally found abrasion resistant Lexan in the Phoenix area. It is available at Port Plastics in Chandler. 300.00 per 4x8 sheet. They also sell a scratch remover for polycarbonates the even works on optical glass, and a cleaner de-fogger

Well the new windshield is in. Took about 2hours. 4'x8' Lexan makes 4 windshields and 13 wind wings

Lexan is 1/4" thick and fit perfectly into frame with the rubber gasket. I am sure you can get other sizes if you need. No pictures yet but as it is new it looks just like glass

Doesn't Lexan scratch pretty badly when exposed to sand and dust? (Just epxerience from using Lexan shooting glasses) If it does, it doesn't seem like something that work well in Arizona.

This is the abrasion resistant Lexan and I don't know how it will hold up. According to some of the threads, a few people are using it with no complaints. One thing for sure, it shouldn't crack as easily
steven566 give me a call you are welcome to look at it

I guess with all the flying road hazards we have in this state, that is a definite plus. I will be interested in how it holds up. Keep us informed on the progress, please.

Hey Ironman, I am presently in Michigan and busted up the windshield back in New Mexico. Is there any chance that you might be able to cut one for me later this month ? I have a FFR and don't know what the size difference might be. Thanks, John

Ironman, I purchased a new windshield with frame at the FFR Open House and have installed it. I would like to install the Lexan when I bring the Cobra home in September, I now have an extra windshield frame. John
