Need Trailer

Hey, Gang...

One of my Tuesday night Hot-rod group just bought a Cobra. The car is in N. California. The owner of the car will deliver it to Reno for the new owner to pick up. But, we need a trailer to bring it to PHX.

Don, would like to do it this week so he can drive it to the Kit Cars on the Colorado event.

Well, congrats to Don & Diana. Weather looks good all week between Phoenix and Reno. Open trailer would work.

Sorry MikieC I am using mine on Wednesday to get my car aligned as I just re-did my whole front end. After that he is more than welcome to use it, or if he can guarantee that it will be back Tuesday night? let me know!

No problem Brian...

If I don't find one this week he can get it next week.

I also have a trailer if the others fall thru. It's perfect for a Cobra BUT in Tucson. John

Hey all,
Have you checked the price for rental yet and what was cost? Phx.to Reno has to be about 600 plus miles and draggin an empty trailer for that far would offset rental costs and extra fuel costs a bunch.

Don, start the iron butt training early and drive it home. Make him deliver it to Tonopah and that would make it a 1 day trip with the saved mileage.

mikiec 10-23-2007 01:55 PM

Jeff, Don was talking about going to U-Haul... I'm trying to talk him out of spending the money and use one of the trailers here.

As far as him getting the Iron Butt? Have you seen him drive? Not pretty. He breaks things.

Reno to Phoenix is 12 hours. What's the big deal?

Bob Broberg SPF667 460BB 10-23-2007 10:46 PM

Mapquest shows 545 miles Reno to Laughlin. Long day on Rte 95.

Stuart and I have done it three times. Get started early and stop for gas. ONLY. John PS. It is not a bad drive. Lots of hours of nothing. Hold the needle on 70 and go. You will be surprised at how fast the drive is.

mikiec 10-24-2007 09:55 AM

John,

You and Stuart are wacko....  Remember neither of them have driven one of these beasts before.

Don and Diane have decided to fly to Reno, pick up the car and drive it to our gathering in Laughlin this weekend.

Thanks to all that offered trailers...

Mike
