Cobra rescue - New / Old member
Well this is my second time around and I hope to have staying power this time!
I’m Mike and began building my Factory Five Mk II in 2002 after purchasing the kit from Gordon. In the first 6 months I was on fire and completed 70% of all the progress I made. I did make it to one AZ Cobra Club Christmas Party at Heresh’s house in 2002 or 2003. Unfortunately I ran into some life challenges and stopped work on the car and dropped out of sight. In 2005 I moved (with the kit) to Virginia. The kit remained dormant the entire time. Late last year I accepted a job back in AZ and I moved back. I bit the bullet and was fortunate enough to have a little cash. On the move back I hired Mark Dougherty to complete my car and deliver to AZ when done. My car is currently being finished at Mark’s home in PA and I expect it to be done end of this month or early March. I’m really glad I did that and will be able to use the car and enjoy the club events! My house is being built in South Gilbert. Are there many members in the East Valley? I'll have several questions for all. As you can see Mark is really digging deep and this is the time to do any mods. As sent to Mark http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...esCobra002.jpg Recent pic http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p...esCobra105.jpg |
Welcome back Mike. There are lots of us in the east valley. Looking forward to some fun runs when you get your car.

Mike, It's about time you got your butt back here. I look forward to meeting up with you again.

Mike, looks like a fine job so far. Of course you will turn your front tires around before driving. Supercharger! Engine displacement? Built for "power adder"? Transmission?
Welcome back. AZ Bob |
Welcome back Mike... Dave

Mike....also on the east side near Dan. I live in mesa along with Karl and Dave. We try to join up near here and join the rest at the starting point of the runs. I have a Mark I that I built about 7 years ago. Drive and enjoy it every week since that time. Some long drives of 800 miles or more trouble free. Welcome back. I just moved here 2 years ago.

It's great to back in AZ. My car is progressing well with Mark, I can't wait to get it and start going on some of these drives.
Mike - I have the timing cover being shipped to me and I'll let you know when it gets here. Its coming right off the motor so it might need a little cleaning. |
Mike....great news. I'm in no hurry and dirty is, of course, no problem. Thanks for your help and let me know shipping cost and what you want for the part. Give me a call sometime at 480-218-512. I'm at the end of power near Red Mountain (Power and McDowell)
