Jerry, he got taken period..I'd be mad myself especially when a mechanic has my car in ""HIS"" garage and then springs it on me...Hate that!!! John has a right to feel the way that he does and retaliate too..I'm certain that you'd feel the same way if the tables were turned... Dave

I must say after reading all of these comments that being in the car business for 20 years, i have seen this many times before. The best thing you can do is refuse to pay the bill at the time they spring it on you and let them know what you were quoted and make them explain exactly how they got to their figure. Usually a decent business owner will work with you to keep from this exact thing happening because of all the bad press.
I am sorry to hear that this happened but always pay attention to anything they try to add.
