Suspension hitting the frame

Ok all, I replaced the axle bearings which blew apart last saturday night and replaced the axle seals also.
I put new wheels and tires on last friday so I lowered my coil overs 2 inches to improve the look and even out the entire ride height.
As soon as I started to back down my curb with my buddy and I in the car, I had 2 large bangs only to find my u-joint against my frame. my buddy got out and I raise both the rear shocks back up to the top.
Does anyone have an idea on how to lower the chassis without the driveline hitting the frame?

Thanks for any help.

Jim

Double Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers.,..or whatever they're called. They mount on top of the rear axle with U bolts and provide sufficient clearance to assure that the U joint doesn't bang on the tunnel.
